iPhone 3.0 Software Announced!

iPhone 3.0 Software Announced! – Today, From their headquarters in Cupertino, California, Apple Inc. Announced New Software version 3.0 that will include many new features and be available for the iphone as a FREE download sometime this summer. I’m sure that sometime in the immediate future, that apple will announce a date that the new software will be available. There are so many new features that I don’t even know where to begin. First off, I know the first question many of you will have, what about copy and paste? Well, I am proud to announce that Copy and Paste is going to be a New addition to the software upgrade! It will save so much time and be so convenient for everyone. It sure took them long enough!

Another feature that I want to highlight and am proud to announce for you Iphone junkies like me is that MMS has been added as well. I can’t tell you how many times I have wanted to send a picture to a friend in a text message but I couldn’t because it wasn’t supported in the Iphone. This will make my life much easier and happier now that I will be able to send picture messages once again. What about other new features? Well, I could tell you about them one by one, but to make it easier on both of us, I will use a simple picture that was taken at the media event that helps to summarize everything that will be added.

What could be better than reading this blog online? Research reveals that between 3-10% of on-line traffic to a PC website now comes from users entering web addresses on their mobile device.  Statics have more than doubled from last year to this year and with more wide screen mobile phones coming out the rise will continue.  In order to capture this 5-10% traffic websites are having to think more about getting there name into mobile devices.

My name is Chris Ross, and I created The Daily Scroll for people who enjoy reading Christian blogs, but don’t have lots of time to surf the web each day. The site’s RSS feed is taken for content.  Our in house art department takes the logos and colors to create them specifically for the application.  Then our coders put it all together.  The process took 3 days.  The main wait is the time Apple takes to approve the application.  But after a few weeks Daily Scroll has its application up and already as seen some traffic generated by the application.  Good luck to Daily Scroll.

Google wigged out by volume of iPhone traffic

When even Google is impressed by the amount of traffic driven to its search page by a particular device, that’s saying something. The head of the company’s mobile group said in a Mobile World Congress interview that it “made [its] engineers check the logs again” when data indicated that the iPhone was responsible for 50 frickin’ times more traffic than any other mobile device, going on to hypothesize that if other manufacturers follow the same route, mobile search will overtake desktop search within a few years. With products like S60 touch and Google’s own Android in the wings, we’d say the writing’s on the wall.

This is being reported from many sources recently.  iPhones are not just for phone calls but driving millions of visitors from the phone to the internet.  Websites can now be accessed from anywhere and iPhone apps are creating a new rush in website traffic.  As the technology gets faster it may soon be a real push to garner as much iPhone traffic as possible to keep websites profitable in the future.
